Pagasa will get 12 Doppler Radars from Japan

According to Dr. Prisco Nilo, Pagasa chief, The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration or Pagasa is gearing up to buy new 12 doppler radars and to place it all over the country. This will serve as an early protection guide for heavy rains and typhoons. It is clear that Pagasa wanted to give an early warning to everyone.
The radars are the latest and “one-of-a-kind”, Nilo Added. Albay Gov. Joey Salceda stressed the proximity of this plan. Salceda said it will provide Bicol region better early-warning information and will be cost-efficient.
